William M. Anderson Elementary School
Technology Action plan

Purpose: To train every faculty member in our campus how to use technology to enhance learning and instruction. Technology must be use as much as possible during instruction in order to be successful teaching 21st Century students.

Analysis of Need: After reviewing the Texas Long-Range Technology Plan, Campus STaR Chart, Dallas ISD and William M. Anderson improvement plan, AEIS reports, and AYP results I have come to the conclusion that our campus needs more technology infrastructure, educator preparation, and teaching & learning.

Propose Actions: This action plan is to develop several training sessions on how to use technology effectively in the classroom and to find out what areas we more technology training for the future.

Goal 1: Staff development of new technology.
· The Dallas ISD will provide appropriate staff development and professional growth for all administration, faculty, and staff.
· Provide several trainings in a month so that teachers can attend any training during that period.

Goal 2: Increase the amount of technology in all classrooms.
· Have every teacher on campus implement the new technology into classrooms effectively.
· Students will be engaged by using more technology.

Goal 3: Technology infrastructure.
· Have the district provide computers for every classroom so that every teacher has access to technology.
· Provide more computers for students as well.
